Strategic Planning- CSIP Development

The development of the District’s blueprint to success is critically important and we are here to help. Each school district has unique differences with respect to culture and demographics. Now more than ever, innovative thinking is needed to meet the needs of students as they learn, grow, pursue graduation, and prepare for jobs that may not yet exist.

Our strategic planning services meet the requirements set forth by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MSIP 6) guidelines while also ensuring the plan meets the unique needs of your school districts. Our process provides for high levels of awareness, engagement and ownership over the process and development of the plan.

Four Phases of our work typically include:

Discovery: Analyzing Current Realities, Clarifying the Why, and Establishing the Way Forward

  • Learning the District’s current realities, organizational structures, timelines, and scheduling.

  • Relationship building to establish trust in the strategic planning process and identify key communicators and collaborators within the district.

  • Establish a point of contact to clarify layers of engagement to meet collaboration requirements set forth by MSIP6 (Missouri).

  • Solidify survey work that may compliment the strategic planning process within the school community.

  • Review of former strategic plan or comprehensive school improvement plan.

Visioning: Establishing Focus for the Future

  • We work with you to establish your strategic planning team made up of all stakeholders within your school district community.

  • Visioning sessions held with identified stakeholder teams and Board of Education are all highly recommended.

  • Gather ideas and feedback throughout the process.

  • Engaging business and community stakeholders can be accomplished through participation in your strategic plan team or through forums, focus groups, or surveys.

  • Coming to consensus on the revision or development of your District’s mantra, mission, vision, core values, and focus areas.

Implementation: From What to How

  • Ownership and understanding occurs at this stage, increasing success upon launching the new plan.

  • Action plan development to identify the specific steps the District will take to achieve its goals.

  • Performance measures, timelines, and person(s) responsible for leading or completing each step is identified.

  • Draft is prepared for team review.

Approval: Draft Plan Review, Progress Monitoring, and Launch

  • Final draft plan presented as advised through the collaborative processes.

  • Aligned to ensure progress monitoring and budget alignment exists.

  • Launching of the plan to broader public – recommendations may be provided.

  • Marketing and branding recommendations available.
