Six Sigma improvement strategies include two basic principles; fact based decision making and the use of the DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) process to solve complex problems. Successful Six Sigma projects can result in actual savings in the realm of six to eight figures, depending on the size of the organization and the nature of the problem. Trained Green Belts serve on Six Sigma project teams to collect and analyze data, develop process maps, and assist the Black Belt in certain levels of statistical analysis.
The Six Sigma Green Belt training program blends classroom instruction and exercises with real life project mentoring and problem solving. During the training, each participant will be assigned to a Six Sigma project team to solve a problem within their organization. Problem solving exercises, project mentoring, and presentation of project findings follow each day’s instruction.
